Featured Tough Story: Gorilla Wood Glue in Victory Lane

I live in Manlius, NY, home of Stickley Furniture. Every 4th of July they sponsor a race where you must use a chair with a rider and spring approximately 200 meters.

This year I designed a chair made primarily of wood glued together with Gorilla Wood Glue and wheels mounted on the wood. We had a design change 12 hours before the race and I glued a new 'axle' on the chair. My team was concerned the glue would not hold, but after only 5 hours we used the chair in a time trial.

The next day we won the race and received a Stickley chair as a gift from the factory. I told everyone about Gorilla Wood Glue--they were impressed!  Thanks for a great product. It was the cheapest "ingredient" but the most important piece of our design.

Thanks, Dale

Other Tough Stories:

Granite Slab

I'll start off by telling you that my boyfriend is a finish carpenter. Well, approximately a year and a half ago he put up slab of granite on the wall above and behind my gas stove. I, of course, wanted more and asked for a 3 inch granite shelf toward the top for decorative items, spices, etc. Being the fabulous man that he is, he fulfilled my request and decided to use Gorilla Glue to secure it to the other piece. Not only has it held to the back slab, but it has endured the heat, moisture, grease, etc. all this time. And I'm pretty darn sure it's not ready to quit anytime soon. I'm so thrilled, being an artist, that I found out that there are other versions of this fabulous product, which will be quite useful. I am completely sold. Kudos to whoever invented Gorilla Glue.
Thanks, Sandra C.

No-Nail Doors

I couldn't find doors we liked (or could afford) for our mountain cabin, so I decided to make my own. I made two panel doors (to use for pocket doors) and used a simple "Z" design for the seventeen other doors. The doors were constructed from 1x6 v-groove pine...and Gorilla Glue. Not a nail was used. That was over 4 years ago and the doors remain as strong as the day they were made.
Thanks, John W.

Book Binding and Repairs

I buy very old books that have seen better days and I fix them up so they are readable again. How? I use Gorilla Glue to re-bind the pages. It has saved me money on buying new books or replacing old ones. I just fix them myself! (Note: Also test the glue out first, because it foams, you have to make sure to only use a very thin layer).
Thanks, Debra J.

Gorilla Success

I want you to know that I found Gorilla Glue to be an exceptional product. I used it to repair broken wood drawers and since I'm far from being handy, I was very pleased with the ease and strength of this product. Since the quality of a company's product is an indication of future success, then The Gorilla Glue Company has a very bright future.
Sincerely, Javonne P.

Strength In Numbers

So this weekend, I brought home a new tube of Gorilla Super Glue. And I figured, my closet door has been splitting for weeks now... let's see if this stuff fixes it. Within minutes, my door was fixed. So I thought, wow, that was easy, maybe I should fix my daughter's broken Barbie Doll. In a matter of moments, Barbie's head was reattached to her body. This was getting fun! Next was the sole of my favorite pair of RM Williams Boots. Then I fixed a broken lamp, then the Fairy Wing on my daughter's snow globe and a broken guitar neck. All in all, I fixed about 10-20 things in just one morning using one small tube of Gorilla Super Gue. Sometimes strength is in the numbers.
